Hope of Motherhood is a nonprofit maternity & postpartum support organization located at 1855 Wells Rd, Suite 2, 2nd Floor, Orange Park, Florida. We serve families throughout Clay County, including Orange Park, Fleming Island, and Middleburg, and welcome families from surrounding communities across Northeast Florida.
Wondering What a Breastfeeding Support Group Is Actually Like?
Walking into a support group for the first time can feel a little awkward—especially when you don’t know anyone or aren’t sure what you’re supposed to do once you get there.
Our Breastfeeding Support Group is a relaxed place to connect with other mothers during pregnancy and postpartum. Come to ask questions. Come to listen. Come to meet other mothers. Come because breastfeeding is going great and you’d like some community. Or come because this week has been hard and you’d rather not navigate it alone.
When scheduling allows, an IBCLC will join our support group to offer weighted feedings and current, evidence-based breastfeeding support.
What to Expect
- It’s free, and you don’t need to be a Hope of Motherhood client. Pregnant moms are welcome too; meeting your community before baby arrives can make it easier to know where to turn later.
- You don’t have to share. Some moms come ready to talk, while others would rather listen for a while. Both are completely fine.
- Breastfeeding, pumping, and combination-feeding mothers are welcome. Whether things are going well, look different than you expected, or you’re still figuring out what works for you and your baby, you are welcome here.
What If I Need Individual Breastfeeding Help?
If you’re experiencing significant or ongoing pain, have concerns about feeding or milk supply, are worried about your baby’s weight, or feel that something isn’t going well, reach out to an IBCLC for individualized support. You can still come to group for additional support.
